Have you heard the news? Gibney’s of Malahide (a family owned Pub since 1937 in Ireland) is opening two locations in New York. If you’ve been missing Irish Pubs, time for a visit.
Last time I was in Ireland, I went to the coastal towns south of Dublin. Malahide is to the north. I wanted to see where it was on the map. So, a new place to visit then continue to Galway.

The article about Gibney’s new openings was in the Irish Star. Interesting publication. I explored their site. The Irish Star launched in 2023 with the tagline: The Voice of Irish America.
Seems like they have reporters in specifics areas (New York, Pennsylvania, and Boston) take a look at their website. I’m surprised they don’t have anyone in Chicago, we have a lot of Irish here too.

Isn’t the Universe right on target sometimes! I had just been thinking I should go back to Ireland, maybe in the Fall. This Irish Star comes along to keep me updated on Irish / American news.
If you have a few minutes, read about the Irish pub opening. The owner, Tony Gibney, talks about how he is bringing Irish workers to America on J-1s, which are visitor visas for educational and cultural exchange programs. I have the link above; however, I don’t think it’s showing that it’s a link. CLICK on the first mention of Irish Star above and you’ll get there.
I need to talk to the Happiness Engineers, see how to correct the link issue.
Excited about the new Pub openings!
Go Irish!
