The past two days have been filled with stress.
I’m a morning person. I enjoy getting up, and making that first cup of coffee with my trusty old friend, “the milk frother.” My frother brings me back to my Italian grandmother’s kitchen.
Here’s what caused my stress.
I was in a rush. I didn’t follow routine.
As I was cleaning my frother, I took that little black piece out and started to put it on a towel to dry.
Warning bells were going off in my head. Remember that show, Lost in Space? “Danger Will Robinson, danger!”
The right side of my brain said, “PUT THE BLACK PIECE BACK IN THE FROTHER. You’re going to lose it!”
The left side of my brain said, “COME ON, IT’S NOT GOING TO GET LOST. You’re putting it on the towel. It’s not going to fly away.”
My brain went into “little kid mode.” I thought about socks, we always think we’re’ not going to lose a sock in the laundry, but we do!
Well, I made the mistake of following the left side of my brain. I put the little black piece on the towel.
The next morning, I went to make my coffee. The little black piece was GONE! I went into panic mode! Searching…
I cleaned the countertop twice… nothing. I looked in the dishwasher… nothing. I looked on the floor… nothing. I repeated these steps… NOTHING!
There was no where else to look! This was maddening!
I talked to Saint Anthony. He helps with lost items. I told him, “Saint Anthony, we BOTH know I did something foolish. I didn’t follow the right side of my brain. Instead, I got lazy. Have a heart. HELP me find it!”
A day later, Saint Anthony had not come to the rescue.
Reluctantly, I started Googling new milk frothers. Mad that I would have to spend money needlessly, I decided to go in Zen mode, QUIET MY BRAIN.
Well… GUESS WHAT… A FUNNY MIRACLE!
When I went to sleep that night, I tossed and turned.
THEN I remembered, that little piece is MAGNETIC. I thought and thought… WHAT metal pieces did I have on the counter that day?
Of course, I cleaned my Air Fryer racks.
I opened my Air Fryer. LOOK what I found.

Imagine my amusement and joy!!
Thank you, Saint Anthony. Once again, you came to the rescue!! I’m grateful!
And to Nonnina, my Italian grandmother in heaven, “Grazie!” I’m sure my panic gave her something to chuckle about. If SHE were here, this would not have happened!! 💕
