A Miracle? Vatican to decide. Did Communion Wafers Multiply?

Today, I saw the headline about a “miracle” happening at a Catholic Church. What could this be?

Apparently, at mass on March 5th (St Thomas Catholic Church in Connecticut), a eucharistic minister claims that the communion hosts in the ciborium were about to run out, instead they kept multiplying. Father Joseph Crowley announced this as a “miracle.”

To determine if this is true or not, the Vatican has to decide. Listening to the news, it’s interesting to hear the steps of the investigation.

I’m skeptical. I wonder what evidence they will submit to try and prove this. My first thought was, that this was a magic trick. Magicians do make things appear and disappear, right. My second thought was, that the wafers are very thin, maybe they were stuck together and that’s how they kept multiplying? Are you with me?

I’d like to think positively. I’m Catholic. I remember reading the story of the Fatima children, no one believed they saw the Virgin Mary, but they did. So, miracles “can happen,” we have to have FAITH, right.

The good news – pilgrims are already going to this church for a blessing.

Now, this was a miracle in 2012. Beautiful photograph taken by Natalie Keyssar. It’s just so amazing that Storm Sandy that hit the Breezy Point neighborhood of Queens, N.Y left the Virgin Mary fully intact.

National Geographic has a story on this, but you have to be a subscriber.

Well, let’s see what the Vatican determines on those communion hosts multiplying (to be continued).

Lol – I will forget, it will take the Vatican a long time to do their due diligence… by then I will be on the beach reading your stories about Gabriele, which the church would not like to know about, right. Have you ever read the Flashman series? I think you would like those books, fictional, but very good. https://www.goodreads.com/series/41316-flashman-papers

      1. You are right, the Vatican will spend a long time doing their due diligence. Sometimes they spend many years on their investigations and ever seem to come to a conclusion🙏🙏🙏

That’s why I found it’s best to pray to God “directly.” ❤

They are VERY good books. Flashman is quite the character, since you enjoy Gabriele’s life, you’ll enjoy Flashman. Another one I enjoy is Horatio Hornblower, the A&E TV series, wonderful. I was trying to find a good link, so you know what the series looks like. Here’s one: https://www.acornonline.com/XF2142.html
