Spark of Inspiration

My friend and I went walking in a new area. Imagine my surprise when I saw this scene at the bottom of someone’s fence.

A whimsical, magical world awaits whomever enters.

This was such a clever idea! Bending down to look at this scene more carefully, I was immediately drawn in. If I could open the door of this acorn house, I would like to know who lives there.

Such careful thought was put into creating this scene. The tiny hedgehog, lady bug, flowers and red mushrooms were perfect. It reminds me of Bilbo Baggins’ hobbit house from The Lord of the Rings.

    There is a woodland park (and arts center) next to a river in Dowell, MD called AnneMarie Gardens. One of the attractions the past few years has been the creation of fairy houses along the main path. These winsome house (in a wide variety of styles, sizes, and shapes) remind me of your little acorn house, so I vote for fairies living there.,

      Thank you for sharing, that’s wonderful. I will do a search online, maybe I can see the AnneMarie Gardens too. I agree, this could be a house for fairies!
