I just found out it is — National Cappuccino Day!

I have a nice story for you. I’m writing an MG novel. The main character is named, “Fredricka.” For the past few months, I’ve been slow to write. It’s not writer’s block. It’s sadness in the world, busy at work, etc. My creative desire is down.

The Universe decided to push me.

At work, I was writing to different suppliers. One wrote back… HER NAME… was Fredricka! Yes, Fredricka. We know this is not a common name. So, I felt this was a SIGN, get back to writing my book.

As my MG writing is not “work related,” I paused in writing to this Fredricka and mentioning that I liked her name, etc. People get offended so easily these days, it’s a shame. Well, I did write to her.

She wrote back, such a wonderful message. Turns out she was supposed to be named after her Grandmother, Freddie. It was ALL planned. When her mother went into labor, FIRST came a boy, SECOND came a girl. The mother had no idea she was going to have twins! Now what? The mother decided to name the boy, Fredrick and this lady, the sister, Fredricka (Freddie) as planned.

How fun is that. I told her we had something in common. I have a twin brother too. Another coincidence is that in my story, the mother keeps thinking she will have a son, and instead she has daughters. So, my main character, Fredricka, was REALLY supposed to be Fredrick (Fred nickname).

Isn’t this the grandest message from Heaven above? Fredricka told me she was excited about my book, would love to buy it when it was published. Also, that we were meant to meet and to NEVER give up!

So, I’ve brushed off my dusty manuscript and I am back at it!! I have renewed energy and creative ideas to complete my story. It was “meant to be!”

Off to get a cappuccino!
