Recently, I was in a store and I saw this wood carving. What I found interesting, was that this piece was there to be noticed, but at the same time, if we are rushing, we wouldnโt see it. Thatโs what happened to me. Somehow, I just never noticed it.
This time though, I happened to be looking at the flyers on the table and the wood carving caught my attention. What a clever idea. This was truly a labor of love. I say, โlabor,โ because wood carving takes patience, focus, determination, vision and creativity.
Examining closely, I kept smiling. Starting from the ears, eyes, snout, down to the neck carved out for distinction, to the body left in tree bark form to the paws. Well, and the canoe, how perfect is that. I love the green color. Of course, the paddle is the finishing touch. Maybe there had been a second paddle for the first bear that got lost. I wondered OR the first bear could have had a fishing net with one or two fish in it. Now, that would have been funny.
Sometimes we just need to โslow downโ in life and enjoy our surroundings.
