Spark of Inspiration

Recently, my daughter and I went on a walk. It was a windy day. She was riled up about something that happened at work. It was one of those conversations that was going on and on and on. There would not be a good resolution. I admit, I was thinking it was time to change subjects.

In stepped the Universe!

While my daughter was in mid-sentence, a gust of wind blew this HUGE leaf on her face covering her mouth perfectly.

We looked at each other in surprise at what had just happened. We’ve never seen such a big leaf. Also, we laughed, because we knew the Universe was saying, “Enough with the rant, time to change subjects!”

What was even funnier was that this leaf episode gave my daughter the sign/laughter/freedom she needed to move on from a bad day.

To this day, when we walk by this area with the huge leaves, we chuckle!

Oh, and we do look right/left, up the tree, etc for any wind gusts. I mean, maybe that day it wasn’t the wind…

Maybe it was a squirrel trying to sleep, we disturbed him, he was an excellent Ultimate Frisbee player and flung that leaf at my daughter.

We will never know!
