Spark of Inspiration

I was out walking and came across a Little Free Library. I always enjoy looking through the Free books to see if anything catches my eye.

I saw the title, “Wesley the Owl,” by Stacey O’Brien. I looked at the cover and fell in love with Wesley instantly. The story is about O’Brien who meets this four day old baby barn owl who has nerve damage in one wing, which starts their 20 year relationship. I look forward to reading this book.

Next stop, the library. Looking through books, my eye caught “Nonna Maria” in the title of a book written by Lorenzo Carcaterra. I referred to my Italian grandmother as Nonnina, so I was immediately drawn in.

Turns out the author wrote and produced the “Law & Order” show, so this should be a good book. There are two other books in the Nonna Maria series, but our library didn’t have the first one.

Summer isn’t over yet. It’s nice to make time to read some books.
