As I was exploring Salzburg, I came across the oldest cemetery in Salzburg, Petersfriedhof / St Peter’s Cemetery. It was behind St Peter’s Church.
I was amazed at how beautiful it was. You can see how clean, but what struck me were the graves, well kept and beautiful flowers. The tombstones were unique, they made me think of fairies, so dainty. I liked the old fashioned scripted font they use. A little lantern to add a candle.

Many of the crypts had huge paintings in them.

Around the corner was St Peter’s Church, that’s for the next post.
A beautiful city, Salzburg.
