When my children were young, I had “go to” Christmas decorations. Every year, I’d pull out my Christmas box and presto – house decorated.
As the years went on, the joy of decorating changed with children gone, etc.
This weekend though, I saw this huge Santa Claus. His legs were in the middle of the isle. I had to stop and think of Christmas.
First thought, this is a beautiful Santa. Second thought, no grandkids yet, where would I store him? Third thought, no, you’re not buying a huge Santa… sniffle. For now, a picture of Santa would have to do.
It was FUN moving Santa out of the isle. His arms/legs moved like a puppet.
A few days have passed, I’m still thinking of Santa. I’m filled with a new desire to decorate and surprise my children. Do something different!
It’s been a tough year, so many things going on in life and the world.
By the way, my daughter and I went to see WICKED. A wonderful movie with a powerful ending. This movie put me in the Christmas mood.

Thank you, Santa. I’m going to make Christmas special this year!
