Baking Biscotti – Anise seeds, I found them!

In December, I really wanted to make biscotti, specifically with anise seeds. Unfortunately, all stores were out. I went to quite a few. People must bake with anise seeds for the holidays, lesson learned, buy early next year!

Suddenly, it’s January and anise seeds are back! Imagine my joy! So, I got to work and baked some biscotti.

I used butter; however, there were recipes that used oil. Next time, I’ll give oil a try, curious to see how the texture will change.

I had saved this Costco / Kirland container, it came in handy for my biscotti. They look store bought in it.

Winter is the perfect time for baking, it reminds me of my childhood.

Happy Baking -> everyone!

      Yes, they are good. I made them a few times, so I’ve learned to cook them longer, so they are crunchier and the color looks more professional too. πŸ˜‰

      Luisa, that makes me happy. I tried making an Italian water cake, that came out terribly. I’d like to try making the β€œS” cookies from the South, the ones they make with wine. That’s on the bucket list, as they say. πŸ˜‰πŸ’•
