I hope you all, if you live in America, enjoy the July 4th weekend.

I stopped at a thrift store to donate some things. Then I browsed around. I found this German Ravensburger puzzle. I was excited.

Since it was only 300 pieces, I gave it a go. Well… There were a few pieces missing. It was still fun, because it is such a cheerful puzzle.

Here’s what I noticed. Puzzles lose pieces, because people donate them and forget to tape them closed on the bottom. A shame.

I did find a few other puzzles. A man laughed and said, “You must like making puzzles.”

Well, YES, especially when they are $1- $3 each. Then “hoping” all the pieces are there. I did find some great looking puzzles.

My other puzzle finds. Two of them were brand new, never opened.

    Late to comment, but love the Moutain Retreat image… couldn’t help but laugh when you said the first puzzle had “a few” pieces missing… looked like “quite a few”!! (I’m a huge fan of puzzles when I’m up to it – sadly no one else in the family is – so the pressure is ON to finish them on my own.) Linda xx

      Hi Linda, Nice to hear from you. LOL, you’re right, there were more than a “few” pieces missing. I’ve been in a real puzzle mood lately. It’s relaxing and I listen to a book on tape. Better than watching TV and lately listening to a book is nicer than actually reading one. I hope you’ve been well. 💕

        I love the idea of listening to books – I used to do it all the time when I was driving for work hours a day, but gave up once I stopped driving so much… I think I might revisit the library and start it up again (I was a CD person… but I’m guessing the technology has probably advanced to digital!) 🤣

        Yes, it’s digital now. Do you know about the LIBBY App? It connects to our library here in America and then we download audio / printed books through the App. Your library might use it too, ask.

        I looked into it over night – and we have a different local library app, but same idea… I just have to figure it out, but it looks like it has real potential – thanks again for the tip! xx

        It’s easy. You need your library card number and password, log in, then start searching. So nice to have the library online, especially when traveling if stranded somewhere. A book is always available.
