Spark of Inspiration

I was visiting a friend. We went for a walk. Suddenly birds were swarming around a tree with many of them landing on this fence post.

I was quick to get the photo. It looked like they were having some sort of meeting. They sure were chirping loudly. The bird on the left looked like he was the leader with ALL of the other birds facing left toward him.

There is a story here, but WHAT?
