Every year, I’m amused when I see pansies in the garden center. I feel like there are all these different colored faced looking at me. It’s most amusing. I always buy impatiens, so I don’t know much about the pansies. I didn’t realize they are edible flowers. So that’s the flower I’ve seen on salads and desserts!
I like how they come in a variety of color patterns. While they look dainty, they are actually a hearty flower, they like cooler temps and can survive a frost. They don’t do well in heat, so the best time to plant them is Spring and Fall. Ideally they like morning sun, avoid afternoon heat. They need lots of water.

This is interesting, Pansies symbolize “thinking/thoughts.” They are said to have telepathic magic. Hum, maybe that’s why they have so many colored faces. They are people reincarnated into flowers… maybe?
What are your favorite Spring flowers?
