Spark of Inspiration

I found this lovely book about people who love trees. Amy Stewart, author, had a great idea. In “The Tree Collectors,” she shares interviews with people who collect trees, in different forms, from around the world.

What’s really charming about this book is that she did the illustrations. So, for each story, she has a colored drawing/painting of the person she is sharing the story about. I felt an immediate connection to these tree lovers. As if I was with Stewart interviewing them too.

While I am not a tree collector, I do love plants/trees. The beautiful book cover caught my attention, I had to do a quick “flip through,” so glad I did.

Reading this book was really heart warming. So many clever ideas on ways to love / collect trees. The book did its job, I will look at trees differently when I’m out walking now.
