How do you motivate yourself to walk in below zero temps?
For the past few days, we’ve had snowy weather and frigid temps. One side of my brain said, “Get your shoes on, get going!” The other side of my brain said, “Are you nuts, you’ll get frostbitten!”
Here’s what’s amusing, the Universe always steps in when we try!
As I was walking, focused on how cold I was. I started noticing footprints in the snow. It became a game. No longer thinking of the cold.
I felt like Sherlock Holmes. Looking for clues in the different footprints I saw, ie Who was this person? Was this a snow boot or a gym shoe? Where were they headed? What brand of shoe was this?
Here is the assortment I saw.

I was grateful, a 10 minute walk, turned into a fun 40 minute adventure walk. Good thing I was bundled up. I’m not going to lie, it was still COLD.
When walking is a habit, we just NEED to do it, no matter what the weather! We feel better, but getting going — CAN be a CHALLENGE!
