Paul Simon, 83, back on Tour. Thanks to Stanford University – SICHL!

I love these kind of stories, where we think life might be over as we age, but instead we can have a come back. Thatโ€™s what happened for Paul Simon. In 2019, he retired from touring, due to severe hearing loss in one of his ears.

Enter Stanford University’s, Dr. Konstantina M. Stankovic, a professor and chair of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery at Stanford Medicine, the Stanford Initiative to Cure Hearing Loss (SICHL). She, and her team, had clever ideas on how to help Simon hear his music.

You probably know Paul Simon better as Simon & Garfunkel. This singing duo had many wonderful songs.

Hereโ€™s a YouTube news clip on Simonโ€™s journey with SICHL:

I was hoping to share a Simon & Garfunkel song, but alas, YouTube wasnโ€™t allowing it. If you donโ€™t know their music, look them up.

Have a great weekend!

Yes, whatโ€™s nice is to see Drโ€™s going the extra mile to give a person their life back.
