Health – Getting Protein In…

Recently, I was swapping breakfast ideas with my daughter. I told her I was bored with greek yogurt. She asked me if I liked cottage cheese. Yes, I do.

Cottage cheese is high in protein, she mentioned that she’s been doing this lately…

Toast, cottage cheese and some jam on top.

My first thought was that it would be a soggy mess on the toast. However, it depends on what type of bread you use (sourdough versus a softer bread) and that the cottage cheese is on the dryer side. Spreading jam on cottage cheese takes practice.

Highly recommend this. Delicious and filling. Tastes like a dessert.

  1. I seem to recall a diet I was on long ago that had cottage cheese on toast as a meal – adding the preserves does make it sound better!!

      LoL, yes, the jam is good. I think my daughter has also done it without jam, put using pepper. That might have been more like your diet. It is a great way to get more protein in. A nutritionist said i should be eating 100 grams of Protein a day. When you track your food, that’s a lot!
